Before driving a heavy vehicle, you’ll need the appropriate licence for its class. Once you have it, you can also drive vehicles from lower licence classes (excluding motorcycles).

Steps to Obtain an MC Licence in NSW

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have held a Class HR or HC licence (or equivalent) for at least 1 year.

Time spent on a P2 HR licence counts, but you cannot practice driving an MC vehicle or upgrade to an MC licence until you hold a full Class HR or HC licence.
